A new model of fuel spray shape at early stage of injection in a marine diesel engine

چکیده
Purpose In the cylinders of a marine diesel engine, self-ignition occurs in very short time after fuel injection into combustion chamber. Therefore, this paper aims to develop model spray for early stage engine. The main technical aspects such as nozzle diameter engine injector and backpressure chamber were taken consideration. Design/methodology/approach paper, laboratory experimental studies carried out determine parameters an optical measuring Mie scattering technique was used record process. working space constant volume same during operation Based on important Hiroyasu Arai models presented literature proposed new injectors. Moreover, evolution over SCA is developed. Research limitations/implications future research process must be temperature. In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...
متن کاملDual Fuelling of a Direct Injection Automotive Diesel Engine by Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas
Application of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in diesel engines has always been important, especially in the field of automotive engineering. This is due to easy accessibility, better mixing quality and good combustion characteristics of the CNG fuel. In this study the application of CNG fuel along with diesel oil in a heavy duty direct-injection automotive diesel engine is experimentally investi...
